    Description

    Up for auction is an
    Antq Old Faithful Northern Pickle Co. Tacoma WA Sweet Pickle Box & an Old Faithful Mexican Hot Pickle Jar/Glass from the same company. The box ended up having it's open top nailed back down and then ended up in my Great-grandparents attic. The complementary glass that the company sold some of their product in, I found in my great-grandmother's basement fruit room, with the label still nicely intact. My great-grandparents were good friends with the local general store owners. Whenever they were in the need for boxes, all they had to do was ask.  Stenciled onto the one end of the box is: "Old Faithful 35 Count Sweet Pickles Made By Northern Pickle Co. Tacoma WA." Printed on the jar label is: "Old Faithful, Content 7 oz. AVD. Contains 1/16 of 1% Benzoate of Soda Mexican Hot Made by Northern Pickle Co. Tacoma, Wash." The jar/glass is 4 7/8" tall with a 2" bottom diameter that tapers up to a top diameter of 2 3/8". The crate weighs 7.3 lbs and is 20 1/2" long, 7 1/2" thick and 13" wide.
